Great character designs in almost every panel. I really hope the rest of the spin offs can be released as well. I have been tangentially familiar with Scud for probably two decades but mostly from the back pages of Gamepro Magazine or ads in other Image comics and the work that its creator Rob Schrab and one of its writers Dan Harmon have done since. It made me feel closer to my friend too. The world has grown completely insane:

The world has grown completely insane: September 7, Sold by: The story is incredibly entertaining. See all customer images. Put simply, the words “batshit insane” are not batshit insane enough to describe Scud: McNinja – Scud scratches an itch for surrealism, humour, and a bit of lighthearted violence that evokes a particular time.
Scud is my favorite comic so I am not going to be critical at all. Single playermultiplayer. I forgot how crazy and kooky good ol’ Scud was.
Part sci-fi picaresque journey, part satire of America, part gonzo comedy, part relationship allegory, part action film, part supernatural thriller, part Mob drama Scud Fans, Comic Book Fans. Warning, the attachment of a biological arm will invalidate the warranty and if not purchased from an approved supplier may result in mutation a la a werewolf. And rather than ruin the thing he once loved – a thing Schrab was apparently worried he had already done – he left the original series on a bleak, depressing cliffhanger and a moment of violence that feels excessive even by the standards of the series, not in gore, but in terms of emotion.
Scux Contents and definitions: So why the question mark? What’s amazing is that the series which consists of the original 20 issue run, plus a 4 issue finale done 10 or so years later contains all of these insane ideas and still manages to not only make sense, but be transcendently hilarious and, at times, heartfelt.
This is one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read.

Jeff speaks only in media clips. Here is a list of cool things in this book: It got as far as casting before being halted in This is really a romantic comedy that was created and written out of heartbreak and then ultimatley completed out of love both a labor of love and a literal wife’s inspiration. Not wanting to die and programmed for self-preservation for the sake of winning fights, Scud wounds Jeff, shooting off her arms and legs, then places her on life support at a nearby hospital ensuring their mutual survival.
The storyline revolves around Scud, a Heart Breaker Series model assassin, a fictional type of robotic assassinhis partner, Drywall, a bizarre character whose body can hold an unlimited amount of storage space, Sussudio, a bounty hunter that at first tries to kill Scud, and several other characters from the series.

Scud: The Disposable Assassin, Vol. 1 Digital Comics – Comics by comiXology
I fell for all the characters even Jeff. What a weird freaking book. This is that huge graphic novel. Then I heard that not only was Schrab going to wrap it all up, he was going to re-release the whole series as one huge graphic novel.
Scud: The Disposable Assassin – The Whole Shebang!
In a closing interview thd by Doug TenNapel at the end of Issue 24, Rob stated that he would like to see La Cosa Nostroid concluded, but that it would be up to Dan Harmon who helmed the series. Also if you like some extreme disposab,e style perspective in you comic art, few do it better than Rob Schrab, I know he was a huge influence for my own illustration.
The problem in the early chapters is that Rob Schrab’s creations are so bizarre it’s not entirely clear what you’re looking at from one panel to the next.
The Disposable Assassin, a cult favorite indie comic that ran for a few years in the late nineties before a long hiatus that culminated in an ending published nearly ten years later. One of the most random, all over the place graphic novels you will read. While asassin the monster, Scud sees the warning on his back that he will self destruct after terminating his target.
