Discs are looking a bit rusty and Ive carefully washed it regularly.
Compared to the ST, the pegs have been moved 0. The water-cooled 2-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of cc provides remarkable thrust on every trip, delivering supreme power thanks to a low-maintenance toothed-belt drive. It sounds good too.
I’ve put a touring screen on mine as I found the wind to be noisy with the std screen but that is my only criticism of this bike,people say it’s plain and boring but ride one of these for more than just a road test and you will want one,it just does everything,IMO a great bike.

It’s comfortable enough for an all day BMW has taken the criticisms of the ST to heart and come back with a bike that has better touring capability and increased rider and passenger comfort. It loves cornering and gives confidence, rolling in and out easily and sitting steady mid-corner. Needed to have the gear selector drum changed at 2, miles due to a “notchy” action and the leaver not returning to it’s rest position between changes.
We took it out againstsome of I use this bike as a daily commuter with a lot of lane splitting and filtering. It seems well thought out. The standard F GT already captures the Gran Turismo ideal almost perfectly by combining sportiness and touring comfort. Each one gives the F GT a different character, from elegant to super sporty.
Back from Bavaria That’s it. Comfort, economy, smoothness, love the belt drive. It has more than enough power to exceed my skill level. Too early to say on the servicing costs but a twin should be reasonable even accounting for BMW rates. My Garmisch trip is all over.

I downsized from a much more powerful machine and it’s a joy to be on a bike where you can open the throttle and enjoy the power without being 30mph over the speed limit in 3 seconds and constantly having to back off and bumble along frustrated by only being able to enjoy the engine very occasionally.
And when you have to use the motorway, it eats 8f00gt the miles without straining at all. In other projects Wikimedia F800tg. I’ve done 2 touring with top box and panniers. The parallel-twin engine is no slouch either. The advantage of such panniers is that they are designed for the bike and therefore are a much closer fit than aftermarket options. Buying experience im very happy. It looks good to us too. The whole bike feels ‘taut’. Couldn’t recommend them enough, they are polite, helpful and very much there to aid you in your purchase, didn’t feel they were ‘pushy’ at all.

Premium fuel is more bwm than regular, but isn’t that much more expensive. In the twisties, it’s a delight. Norway is notoriously intolerant of speeding, helping me average just over 60mpg and consequently a range in the region of miles.
